I stayed at Logis Hotel De La Thalie in Chalon-sur-Saone for a convenient motorway stop off during my long tour from Scotland to Nice. The reception gave me a friendly welcome and provided great advice on local dining options. The room was spacious and comfortable, although the bathroom was a bit dated. The breakfast offered a plentiful and tasty selection to start the day.
I recommend this hotel.

Good location opposite the Giant casino supermarket where you can get a good meal at a good rate. Just passing through Challon on our way to a ski holiday in the alps.

Friendliness and helpfulness of staff and an excellent continental breakfast.
Difficult access by road and a lack of comfortable seating in the room.

the breakfast was amazing, with a wide variety of choices to satisfy every taste. the rooms were really nice and had the added bonus of air conditioning, which was a pleasant surprise in the heat. the beds were incredibly comfortable, a rarity in my experience. the hotel is conveniently located just off the motorway and only a short distance from the beautiful town center. a great stay at Logis Hotel. Cons: Nothing 🚫.

The receptionist was a delight, the room was much more spacious than we had expected and very comfortable. Breakfast was very good value with a splendid range of choices and as much as one can eat. We will stay there again and would recommend anyone else to do so.
You gave them my name incorrectly.

Very good location if travelling via motorway 2 minutes from exit/entry point. If not too much of a snob good value eating @ the Casino cafeteria just accross the way in the commercial centre ,other eating places @ the Ibis & Bufffalo Grill a short walking distance away

Super convenient motorway stop off on our Scotland to Nice road trip. Mind-blowing car park for our motorbikes, with close access to the entrance. Jaw-droppingly close to Ibis, with a fantastic restaurant. Wow, the commercial center had a great bar all night. The decent bed, reasonable price, good food, and a beer just a short walk away! So happy!

Hotel was very clean and comfortable with a good reasonably priced breakfast. Close to A6 so excellent as a stopover on route to southern France.

Bland, featureless & without character is what you will be presented with, when you finally do arrive at this hotel because you will miss the enterance at least twice even with SatNav! That said if you want a pretty romantic hotel stay somewhere else. However if you want a simple but very comfortable room for an overnight stop, which is spotlessly clean, quite (double glazed with aircon), with full ensuite facilities and a flat screen tv this is the place for you. Like a lodge you pay your bill on arrival so no delays in checking out and only 2minutes back to the motorway. The breakfast buffet is a bargain for 7 euros with a very good selection for the grade of hotel. A retail park is across the road with a fuel station & several resturants
Not enough pillows for the very comfortable beds other than that a great hotel for an overnight stop for the family at a very reasonable price!

I really appreciated the convenient location of the hotel, especially as a senior traveler. It was just off the motorway, making it easily accessible for someone like me who prefers shorter journeys. The hotel's decoration had a charming vintage appeal that reminded me of old-fashioned elegance. The general areas were clean and well-maintained, providing a comfortable and cozy atmosphere. , the staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly and accommodating, always ready to assist with a warm smile on their faces. As a senior woman, this made my stay even more enjoyable and reassuring.
If I were to suggest one improvement for a better vacation for senior people, it would be to have a more accessible seating area available in the hotel's general areas. Sometimes, us seniors require a comfortable place to rest and relax during our travels, and having ample seating options would have been wonderful.

This hotel exceeded my expectations in several ways. the value for money was exceptional, particularly considering the central location. It was within walking distance to a good restaurant as well as another larger restaurant just down the road. Secondly, the staff were friendly and provided excellent service throughout my stay. Lastly, while the rooms were a little dated, they were still kept clean and tidy.
No complaints.
